Vogue magazine was probably a surprising influence on my choice of career. I had an interest in art, especially fashion and was good at science at school. So when it came to the crunch, dentistry fitted the bill. My day is surprisingly diverse ranging from diagnosing congenital abnormalities in children to whitening the teeth of a glamorous 70 year old!
Combining creativity, diagnostics and surgical ability all require skill at putting people at their ease. I currently hold an appointment in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Poole Hospital, which deals with trauma, orthognathic surgery and head and neck cancer.
